Network Administrator 2

Role Summary

We are hiring a Senior L2 Network Administrator, primarily to drive network upgrades while also supporting day-to-day network operations as needed. You will have strong knowledge of current networking technologies, understand business and technical requirements, assess vulnerabilities, and plan and execute changes with minimal disruption. You will also coordinate with team members, leads, and managers, delegate implementation tasks, and handle complex troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute network upgrades across enterprise environments.
• Understand requirements, assess vulnerabilities and risks, and build a sound implementation plan.
• Manage changes through the change management process (planning, approvals, implementation, rollback, documentation).
• Support 24/7 network operations and handle escalations from L1.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and drive them to root cause, using tools such as Wireshark.
• Coordinate with team members, leaders, and managers, and delegate implementation tasks to the team.
• Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and change records.
• Communicate clearly, in writing and verbally, with stakeholders and customers (US geography).

Must-Have Skills

• Cisco: Catalyst, Nexus, routers, and Cisco ACI
• Routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, VRF, STP
• Other platforms: SD-WAN, Juniper, and Arista networking
• Process: Change management and experience supporting 24/7 network operations

Good-to-Have Skills

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
• Juniper certifications (JNCIP, JNCIE)
• Network troubleshooting with tools such as Wireshark

Customer-service orientation, with experience supporting US geography clients
