NDT Engineer

Job Summary

The job incumbent is an NDT Engineer responsible for performing NDT/SDT for various constructions as per procedure laid down.

Major Responsibilities

• Conducting NDT Tests as per the procedure laid down.
• Conducting Semi Destructive Test (SDT).
• Conducting Load test on structural members/slab.
• Distress mapping in buildings.
• Evaluation of quality of construction through NDT SDT.
• Maintenance of standard reference materials and records.
• Review and update work instructions from time to time.
• Carry out internal calibration under guidance of Technical manager.
• Preparation of Measurement of uncertainty document with the help of Technical Manager.
• Maintain the documentation required as per NABL criteria.
• Ensure implementation of QMS in the area of responsibility corporate standards (eg Code of Ethics, BV Values, corporate identity, policies, procedures).

HSE Responsibilities

• Must comply with the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.
• To comply with company HSE requirements eg policies, procedures, guidelines etc and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable.
• To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.
• Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE ie any incident, unsafe work practices/conditions to his/her immediate Line Manager.
• Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects.

Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)

• On-time delivery of Reports.
• Client relationship - Retention and Growth.
• Compliance of internal and external guidelines, policies, procedures.
• Internal and external customer service satisfaction (eg number of complaints).
• To adhere Group HSE Guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• General: Graduate Engineer BE/ B. Tech (Civil) with minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Technical: Knowledge of NDT / SDT construction chemicals and strengthening materials along with experience in Restoration of structures of QA/QC will be desirable.

Skills and Qualities

• Good communication skills verbal, writing and presentation.
• Should have good analytical skills.
• Ability to comprehend technic. NDT Testing, Visual Inspection, Report drafting and publishing
