    About this role

    Role :

We are looking for a Naval Architect to join our engineering product development team. The role involves applying naval architecture principles to the design and development of advanced engineering software solutions for the shipbuilding and maritime industries.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in naval architecture, an analytical mindset, and an interest in translating engineering principles into innovative digital tools. Prior software development experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

    Key Responsibilities :

    - Contribute to the development of engineering software products for ship design, analysis, and construction.

    - Apply naval architecture principles to develop and validate computational methods, engineering workflows, and software functionalities.

    - Work on hull form design, hydrostatics, stability, resistance, propulsion, and performance analysis.

    - Support the development of parametric modelling, design automation, and engineering optimization capabilities.

    - Translate engineering requirements, calculations, and industry practices into functional specifications for software development teams.

    - Validate engineering algorithms and software outputs against established calculations, reference data, and industry standards.

    - Collaborate with software engineers, designers, and domain specialists throughout the product development lifecycle.

    Required Qualifications & Skills :

    - Mandatory: B.Tech / B.E. / B.Sc. in Naval Architecture or Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering.

    - Experience: 3-8 years in naval architecture, ship design, marine engineering analysis, or related engineering disciplines.

    - Sound understanding of ship geometry, hydrostatics, stability, resistance, propulsion, and hull form characteristics.

    - Familiarity with ship design processes, engineering calculations, and industry practices.

    - Working knowledge of relevant ship design or naval architecture software.

    - Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.

    - Ability to understand complex engineering problems and communicate technical requirements effectively.

    Preferred Skills:

    - Programming or scripting experience in Python, C++, C#, or MATLAB.

    - Experience with naval architecture tools such as Maxsurf, NAPA, Rhino/Orca3D, or equivalent.

    - Exposure to CAD/3D modelling, computational geometry, numerical methods, or optimization techniques.

    - Understanding of ship structural design, scantlings, and production engineering.

    - Experience in engineering software development, simulation, or design automation.

    - Familiarity with classification society rules and relevant marine engineering standards.

What We Are Looking For :

We value individuals who combine strong engineering fundamentals with curiosity, initiative, and a problem-solving mindset.

Candidates should be comfortable exploring challenging technical problems, learning new technologies, taking ownership of their work, and collaborating across engineering and software disciplines.

An interest in building engineering technology products is more important than prior programming experience.

    Why Join Us?

    - Work at the intersection of naval architecture, computational engineering, and software product development.
    - Contribute to innovative technology solutions addressing real-world ship design and engineering challenges.
    - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and software developers.
    - Take ownership of technically challenging problems and see your contributions translate into working products.
