Natural Gas Operations Executive / Officer - Gas Aggregation

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Natural Gas Operations Executive / Officer to manage the day-to-day operational activities of our Natural Gas Aggregation business. The role involves capacity booking, daily gas nominations, scheduling, allocation, transporter coordination, contract mapping, operational documentation, and quantity reconciliation.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution of gas transportation and aggregation activities, coordinating with suppliers and pipeline transporters, and resolving operational issues to support uninterrupted gas flow and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Capacity Booking: Prepare and coordinate transportation capacity booking requests, documentation, approvals, route details, and follow-ups with pipeline transporters.
• Daily Gas Nominations: Prepare, verify, and submit daily gas nominations to suppliers, transporters, and relevant operational portals within prescribed cut-off times.
• Gas Scheduling: Monitor nomination schedules, transporter confirmations, scheduling changes, and discrepancies; coordinate timely resolution of mismatches.
• Gas Allocation & Reconciliation: Prepare and verify allocation statements against nominations, schedules, transporter confirmations, joint tickets, and available actual quantity records.
• Transporter Coordination: Liaise with pipeline operators, transporters, and suppliers regarding capacity booking, nominations, scheduling, allocation, operational queries, and pending confirmations.
• Contract & Route Mapping: Maintain accurate mapping of gas supply contracts, transportation agreements, pipeline routes, entry and exit points, delivery points, tariff zones, and applicable contract references.
• Quantity & Invoice Verification: Assist in verifying transportation invoices, joint tickets, quantity statements, applicable tariffs, and booked capacity against operational records.
• MIS & Documentation: Maintain daily operational trackers, nomination and allocation records, booking confirmations, transporter communications, supporting documents, and periodic MIS reports.
• Operational Issue Management: Identify potential risks and discrepancies affecting capacity, gas flow, scheduling, or customer supply; escalate issues promptly and follow through until closure.
• Internal Coordination: Coordinate with Commercial, Finance, and Management teams for operational reconciliation, documentation, invoice verification, and reporting.
• Operational Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable contractual requirements, operating procedures, reporting timelines, and prescribed nomination and scheduling cut-offs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Natural Gas Operations, Gas Aggregation, Pipeline Transportation, City Gas Distribution (CGD), LNG, Energy Trading, or related energy-sector operations will be preferred.
• Working knowledge of gas nominations, scheduling, allocation, capacity booking, transportation agreements, and pipeline operations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and operational data management; experience with MIS reporting and online operational portals is desirable.
• Strong coordination, follow-up, reconciliation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive activities.
• Ability to coordinate with suppliers, transporters, internal teams, and management to resolve operational discrepancies.
• Flexibility to support operational activities on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, wherever required by the operational schedule and company policy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance will be reviewed monthly and/or quarterly against the following parameters:

1. Timely and accurate capacity booking and transportation coordination.
2. On-time submission and accuracy of daily gas nominations.
3. Timely scheduling follow-up and resolution of discrepancies.
4. Accuracy of gas allocation statements and quantity reconciliation.
5. Timely support for invoice, joint ticket, and quantity statement verification.
6. Effective transporter coordination and resolution of operational queries.
7. Accuracy of contract, route, delivery point, and tariff-zone mapping.
8. Timely maintenance of operational trackers, MIS, and supporting documentation.
9. Proactive identification, escalation, and closure of operational issues.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven operational environment. Candidates with hands-on experience in daily gas nominations, pipeline scheduling, gas allocation, transportation coordination, and energy-sector documentation will be preferred.
