Multi Skill Technician

Role & responsibilities

Preferred for Male Candidates.

Perform routine preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and minor civil works.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of faults.
• Conduct regular inspections of school facilities to identify maintenance issues and potential safety hazards.

• Operate and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by recording work orders, completed tasks, spare parts usage, and equipment history.

• Assist in maintaining uninterrupted operation of utilities including electricity, water supply, lighting, drainage, and sanitation systems.

• Support the maintenance of classrooms, laboratories, hostels, dining halls, sports facilities, administrative offices, and common areas.

Repairs & Technical Support

• Carry out minor repair and refurbishment works across the campus.
• Assist external contractors during major repairs, annual maintenance, and renovation projects.
• Troubleshoot equipment and building system failures and recommend corrective actions.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.

• Maintain adequate stock of essential spare parts and maintenance consumables. Asset & Resource Management
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, and inspection checklists.
• Assist with inventory control of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
• Support asset tagging, preventive maintenance scheduling, and equipment lifecycle tracking through the CMMS.
• Contribute to cost-effective maintenance practices by minimizing downtime and reducing material wastage Health, Safety & Compliance • Follow all school health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with fire safety, electrical safety, sanitation, and applicable statutory requirements.

• Identify and report unsafe conditions and assist in implementing corrective actions.

• Participate in emergency response activities, evacuation drills, and disaster preparedness exercises.
• Maintain safe housekeeping standards in workshops, plant rooms, and maintenance storage areas. Teamwork & Support

• Work collaboratively with facilities staff, housekeeping, security, transport, and academic departments.

• Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize maintenance work based on operational requirements.
• Support school events by ensuring facilities and equipment are operational before, during, and after events.
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

qualifications :

ITI, Diploma, or Trade Certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Building Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.

• 58 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities operations in schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, or large commercial campuses.

• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.

• Experience working across multiple maintenance trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil maintenance).

• Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

• Basic computer skills, including MS Office and digital maintenance reporting.
