About this role
Position: MSSQL DBA
Job Summary: Responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure high availability, security, performance, and data integrity. Manage database installations, backups, recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support application teams with database-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and resources.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage database security, user access, and permissions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and ensure high availability.
- Implement database patching, upgrades, and maintenance tasks.
- Support data migration, replication, and ETL processes.
- Create and maintain database documentation and standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of SQL Server Always On, Replication, SSIS, SSRS, and SSMS.
- Experience with backup/recovery, security, and database monitoring.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
