Experience

• 8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience administering SQL Server 2005 through SQL Server 2025.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production databases.
• Experience working in a 24x7 support environment.

Technical Skills

• Strong SQL Server installation, configuration, and administration experience.
• Advanced T-SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong understanding of:
• SQL Server Internals
• Query Optimization
• Indexing Strategies
• Statistical Analysis
• Execution Plans
• Database Architecture
• Experience with Ola Hallengren maintenance solutions.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.
• Experience with SQL Server migrations and upgrades.

Backup and Recovery

• Strong knowledge of:
• Backup and Restore Strategies
• Point-in-Time Recovery
• Disaster Recovery Planning
• Business Continuity Processes

Monitoring Tools

Experience with one or more:

• SolarWinds DPA
• SentryOne
• Native SQL Server Monitoring Tools

Security

• Strong understanding of:
• SQL Server Security
• Encryption
• Service Accounts
• Role-Based Access Control
• Auditing and Compliance Requirements
