MRO (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) Business Analyst - TRAX

Job Summary

The MRO Business Analyst ensures that the information systems dedicated to the maintenance planning and control of the airline, meets or exceed the requirements for functionality and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Accurate definition of processes that support existing business requirements of their assigned subject matter areas
• Identification of the data sources and repositories supporting existing processes
• Documentation of existing problems in data accuracy
• Definition and documentation of future business processes to be built upon functionality of the Maintenance Information Systems
• Manages Operation Specifications, Minimum Equipment Lists and Maintenance Capability Lists
• Assist in the Integration of TRAX with next gen SOC Systems by mapping the functionality of TRAX with the new systems
• Selection and documentation of business rules to be enforced by the Maintenance Information System (MIS)
• Identification and documentation of shortfalls in functionality of the Maintenance Information system to be addressed by modifications or acceptable process changes
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) requirements specific to aircraft maintenance and able to facilitate conversations with these agencies
• Definition of departmental training requirements to ensure new functions are clearly communicated
• Initiation of revisions to the General Maintenance Manual or other Aviation Manuals
• Facilitation of technical discussions within their workplace and within the MRO project team to collect and validate information and develop plans, recommendations and policies
• Analyzes and makes recommendations for the implementation of procedures and metrics that support compliance with industry, military, and regulatory standards
• Provides research and guidance on policies, government regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standards
• Supports Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree - a must
• Experience in the Aerospace/aviation industry - a must
• Knowledge of MRO Systems and Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) - a must (TRAX Software knowledge preferred)
• Ability to understand, interpret, and apply Quality requirements/MRO regulations
• Technical writing experience to update existing user documentation and raw processes, as well as document new raw processes and user documentation - preferred
• Training of technical personnel in the MIS systems and specific departmental processes - preferred
• Proficient in the use of office software including Word, Excel, Access, Project, SQL Developer and Visio - preferred
