Role & responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains medical records of patients to document condition and treatment and to provide data for research studies.
• Compiles medical care and census data for statistical reports on surgery performed, and use of hospital beds.
• Maintains variety of health record indexes and storage and retrieval systems.
• Reviews records for completeness and to abstract and code data, using standard classification systems, and to identify and compile patient data.
• Online Registration of Birth, Death and Still Born Babies
• Enters data, such as demographic characteristics, history of diagnostic procedures and treatment into computer.
• Contacts discharged patients, their families, and physicians to maintain registry with follow-up information.
• Notifiable diseases informed to BBMP on a monthly basis.
• Monthly report of MTP and Sterilization sent to PCPNDT office.

Prepares statistical reports, narrative reports and graphic presentations for use by hospital staff.

Preferred candidate profile

1. QUALIFICATION : Diploma in Medical Records

2. EXPERIENCE: 1 - 2 years

3. LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE :

Good knowledge of written and spoken English; Excellent understanding of local languages and Hindi.

4. SKILLS REQUIRED :

* Demonstrate an organized, effective and timely approach to all tasks.

* Good communication skills
