Job Summary

• Skilled in backups disaster recovery
• Should have production support experience
• Experience in performing Mongo DBA operational routines
• Setup and configuration of MongoDB cluster infrastructure in cloud environment (preferably in AWS)
• MMS configuration experience
• Configuring and monitoring replica sets
• Optimising database/query performance
• Configuring Sharding , monitoring, and identify the proper shard key
• Selection, inserting large amounts of data
• Performing Security measures, backups and restore backups
• User Management creating users, assigning roles, managing permission
• Migration experience will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Creates and maintains all databases required for dev, testing, prod- Mongo DB
• Performs capacity planning required to create and maintain database.
• Performs tuning of databases.
• Plans and implements backup and recovery of the DB
• Experience in cloud migration projects desired.
• Implements and enforces security for all Databases
• Performs database reorganisations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of database.
• Provides technical support to application migration teams
• Enforce and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of database
• Assist with impact analysis of any changes made to database objects
• Troubleshoots with problems regarding databases, applications and development tools.
• Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations and Technical documentation skills
