ICapital looking for a highly skilled and passionate Scala Engineer to join their growing engineering team supporting iCapitals next-generation financial technology platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building scalable, high-performance distributed applications using Scala and modern cloud-native technologies. Will work closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to develop innovative solutions that power investment management and wealth technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Scala .
- Build high-performance microservices and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
- Contribute to architecture and design discussions.
- Develop APIs and integrations with internal and external platforms.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support critical applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience , including 3+ years of hands-on Scala development .
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming concepts .
- Experience building microservices architectures .
- Proficiency with:
- Scala
- RESTful APIs
- SBT/Maven
