Mobile Platform Engineer
The opportunity As a Mobile Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial for the Mobile services at EY. By designing, testing, and implementing new mobile products and services within our Intune-based mobile environment, you will contribute to creating and maintaining a seamless experiences for our Mobile users. With over 400,000 users and 350,000 enrolled devices, your expertise will help ensure that our mobile solutions are not only innovative but also secure and aligned with our strategic goals.
Your key responsibilities - Design, test and implementation of new mobile products and services, ensuring they meet quality and security standards.
- Proactively suggest new ideas and solutions, driving them to implementation with minimal guidance on technical delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Technical Lead to align on project goals and execution.
- Provide input to the Mobile Roadmap and actively participate in bringing it to life.
- Manage Intune policies and configurations to maintain a secure mobile platform.
- Serve as the last level of support, troubleshooting and resolving issues that exceed the capabilities of the support organization.
- Work with colleagues and customers all over the globe, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different time zones.
- Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills in supported core technologies, particularly in managing large user bases, to effectively design, test, implement, troubleshoot and optimize mobile solutions.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to conceptualize innovative solutions that add value to end users, particularly in the context of mobile applications and services.
- Self-Starter Mentality: A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in English is required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and tact to foster collaboration with colleagues and customers across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Documentation Skills: Clear and concise documentation skills, ensuring that all processes, solutions, and communications are well-documented for future reference.
- Vendor Management: Ability to manage strategic vendors, such as Microsoft, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective service delivery.
- Cross-Cultural Awareness: Awareness of and sensitivity to cross-cultural dynamics, enabling effective collaboration with global teams and clients.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Willingness to share knowledge and provide training, both virtually and hands-on, to empower team members and enhance overall team capability.
- User Experience Focus: Passionate about improving user experience, with an understanding of how to measure, monitor, and enhance user satisfaction through feedback and analytics.
- Five or more years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Intune, Entra, Entra conditional access, Mobile Device and Application Management with a thorough understanding of its design and architecture.
- Proven experience in mobile platform engineering or a related field.
- Solution oriented mindset with the capability to design and implement creative Mobile solutions and the ability to suggest and implement solutions that meet EY's requirements
- Strong understanding of mobile technologies and security protocols, particularly within an Intune-based environment.
- Experience with iOS and Android operating systems.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
- Ability to operate proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the latest trends in mobile technology.
- Ability to work UK working hours
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to suggesting and implementing new ideas.
- Ability to explain very technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in managing and supporting large mobile environments.
- Testing and Quality Assurance ensure our mobile platform meets quality, performance and security standards.
- Implementation of new products and/or service offerings.
- Experience with working in a large global environment
