Mobile Automation Test Engineer-Lead/SSE

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Appium, mobile application testing, and automation framework development. The candidate should have experience testing Android and iOS applications, developing and maintaining automated test scripts, and integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS mobile applications using Appium.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end mobile application testing.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Work with real devices, emulators, and simulators to validate mobile application functionality.
• Identify, report, track, and troubleshoot defects using tools such as Jira.
• Validate mobile application behavior across different devices, screen sizes, operating systems, and network conditions.
• Perform API testing and integrate API validation into mobile automation suites.
• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Analyze automation execution reports, investigate failures, and improve test coverage.
• Collaborate with developers, manual testers, business analysts, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, test case reviews, and release validation.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Appium mobile automation.
• Experience testing native, hybrid, and mobile web applications.
• Good programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and mobile automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Android and iOS application architecture and testing approaches.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or equivalent testing frameworks.
• Understanding of XPath, accessibility IDs, UI selectors, and element identification strategies.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Knowledge of REST API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software testing life cycle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based device testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Android Debug Bridge (ADB), Xcode, and mobile device logs.
• Knowledge of performance, compatibility, and mobile network testing.
• Experience building reusable automation frameworks and reducing flaky test cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
