Mobile Application Engineer - Full-Time/React Native/BLE

What You Will Build

Mobile Application

• Build and maintain the Kasphyn mobile application using React Native
• Work with Expo / Expo Application Services (EAS)
• Develop clean, responsive and premium mobile interfaces
• Implement workout creation and exercise selection
• Build workout tracking and session management
• Develop real-time workout visualizations
• Implement post-workout analytics
• Integrate APIs and backend services
• Handle local storage and offline data where required

Bluetooth Low Energy

This is one of the most important responsibilities of the role.

You will:

• Implement BLE device discovery and pairing
• Connect and communicate with wearable hardware
• Work with BLE services and characteristics
• Subscribe to BLE notifications
• Handle continuous sensor data streams
• Implement packet handling and buffering
• Handle packet loss and out-of-order data
• Implement reconnection and recovery mechanisms
• Monitor connection quality and device state
• Work with device firmware engineers to debug communication issues
• Optimize BLE performance and reliability

Real-Time Sensor Data

The Kasphyn device will generate continuous sensor data including:

• EMG
• IMU
• Device status
• Battery information
• Timestamps / sequence information

You will need to think carefully about:

• Sampling rates
• Timestamps
• Packetization
• Buffering
• Synchronization
• Data integrity
• Latency
• Battery consumption
• Connectivity failures
