About this role
About Sparkeefy Sparkeefy is building an AI relationship app that helps people say better, remember more, and show up better in the relationships they already have. The product helps users handle important moments, write better replies, remember key dates, plan thoughtful gestures, and act better when it actually counts. We are preparing for our Android launch soon and are looking for a serious mobile builder who can own the app with speed, quality, and responsibility.
Role Description We are hiring a Lead Mobile App Developer with strong React Native experience to own mobile execution for Sparkeefy. Your immediate focus will be Android and Play Store readiness. iOS will come later, but the current priority is making the Android app fast, stable, polished, and ready to launch. This is not a role for someone who has only built clones, college projects, or incomplete side projects. We are looking for someone who has actually shipped products, worked inside real codebases, handled bugs under pressure, and understands what it takes to launch a polished consumer app.
This can become a long term founding mobile lead or CTO track role for the right person. Key Responsibilities 1. Own React Native mobile development completely 2. Stabilize and improve the current Android app 3. Build clean, production quality screens from Figma 4. Integrate backend APIs with proper loading, error, empty, and success states 5. Improve navigation, performance, responsiveness, and UI polish 6. Debug crashes, app flow issues, authentication issues, API bugs, and UI glitches 7. Prepare APK and AAB builds for Android testing and Play Store release 8. Work closely with product, backend, AI, and design teams 9. Maintain clean code structure and scalable mobile architecture 10. Give daily execution updates with proof of shipped work
Must Have Skills 1. Strong React Native experience 2. Strong JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals 3. Experience with Android builds, APK, AAB, and Play Store release flow 4. Strong API integration experience 5. Experience working with existing production or near production codebases 6. Ability to convert Figma designs into polished, responsive mobile UI 7. Strong debugging and problem solving skills 8. Understanding of state management, navigation, authentication, and app lifecycle 9. Ability to ship fast without needing constant follow up
Strong Plus 1. Published or helped publish an app on Play Store 2. Built or contributed to real consumer apps 3. Experience with Firebase, Supabase, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, or deep links 4. Experience with Expo and bare React Native workflows 5. iOS and TestFlight experience 6. Startup or product team experience 7. Ability to think beyond tickets and suggest better product implementation
Who Should Apply Apply if you have shipped real mobile products, worked on apps used by real users, handled messy bugs and deadlines, built production quality UI, worked with APIs and existing codebases, and taken ownership without being chased every day.
Who Should Not Apply Please do not apply if your experience is only clones or basic college projects, you cannot show past work, GitHub, APKs, or shipped products, you disappear near deadlines, you need constant hand holding, or you are looking for a casual side project.
Compensation This is a high ownership role with strong upside. Compensation can include good monthly pay based on ability and commitment, ESOP or equity upside, potential founding mobile lead or CTO track path, and potential meaningful equity up to 5 percent for exceptional ownership after a two month working period, subject to performance, commitment, and final agreement.
Hiring Process Shortlisted candidates will go through a practical trial task. The trial task will test React Native execution, Figma to code quality, app structure, API ready thinking, loading and error states, debugging approach, speed, and communication.
Resume matters less than proof of shipping. How to Apply
- Please share your LinkedIn, GitHub, resume, past mobile app work, Play Store links or APKs if available, one real product you shipped or significantly contributed to, daily availability, and earliest start date.
