Mobile App Development Internship in Bangalore

We are looking for a motivated Mobile App Engineer - Intern to join our growing engineering team. At Gnani.ai, you'll help build consumer-facing (B2C) mobile apps that bring AI-powered experiences directly to everyday users. The ideal candidate is a student or recent graduate with a foundation in programming and a genuine interest in mobile app development, React Native, and cross-platform technologies. This internship offers close mentorship from senior engineers and real exposure to production-grade mobile development, API integrations, debugging, and AI-powered applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining mobile applications using React Native for Android and iOS, under the guidance of senior engineers
• Support the team in building responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces based on product and design requirements
• Help integrate REST APIs, databases, and third-party services into mobile app features
• Participate in debugging, testing, and basic performance troubleshooting of assigned app features
• Write clean, well-documented code and actively participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with backend, AI/ML, product, and design teams on assigned tasks and features
• Learn and apply modern mobile development tools, frameworks, and industry best practices
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies
• Document your work, learnings, and contributions as part of internship deliverables
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Flutter and Dart
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript and React Native, through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships
• Understanding of programming fundamentals, OOP, and basic data structures
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON
• Basic understanding of Git/GitHub version control
• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
• Strong curiosity, problem-solving attitude, and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
  
  

Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Good to Have

• Personal projects, published apps (Play Store / App Store), or an active GitHub portfolio
• Familiarity with Expo
• Basic knowledge of native Android or iOS development (Kotlin/Java or Swift/Objective-C)
• Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand
• Basic familiarity with mobile app testing tools (Jest, Detox, or similar)
• Interest in AI, voice, or conversational technologies
• Prior internship, hackathon, or open-source contribution experience
