Job Description – Automation Test Engineer

Role: Automation Test Engineer

Experience: 6–12 Years

Location - Bangalore/Chennai

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with 6–12 years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Selenium, SQL, and API testing, along with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks. The candidate will work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and enhance automation frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
• Write and execute SQL queries for backend/database validation.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test case design.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, coding standards, and testing methodologies.
• Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 6–12 years of experience in Software Testing and Automation Testing.
• Strong programming skills in

Java .

• Hands-on experience with

Selenium WebDriver .

• Good understanding of

API Testing (REST/SOAP).

• Strong knowledge of

SQL for database validation.

• Experience in test planning, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
