Mis Lead

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for leading the MIS and reporting function, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable business information for senior management. The role involves managing reporting systems, dashboards, data analysis, automation, forecasting, and a team of MIS/analytics professional.

• Lead the end-to-end MIS and reporting function across business operations.
• Design and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports.
• Develop executive dashboards and business-performance scorecards.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, gaps, risks, and business opportunities.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, HR, Supply Chain, and other functions to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and timely delivery of reports.
• Automate repetitive reporting processes using Advanced Excel, Power Query, VBA, SQL, Power BI, or other relevant tools.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations for senior leadership.
• Establish standardized MIS processes, reporting formats, KPIs, and data governance practices.
• Provide variance analysis, forecasting, productivity analysis, and business insights.
• Lead MIS projects involving system integration, database development, reporting automation, and process improvement.
• Manage and mentor a team of MIS executives/analysts.
• Coordinate with IT/data teams to improve data availability and reporting infrastructure.
• Present key business insights and performance trends to senior management / leadership.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve reporting turnaround tim

Preferred candidate profile

• 12+ years of relevant experience in MIS / Business Analytics / BI / Reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas, and VBA/macros.
• Strong Power BI skills, including dashboard development, DAX, data modeling, and visualization.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems and data extraction.
• Strong understanding of KPI management, business reporting, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
• Experience managing and developing MIS/analytics teams.
• Ability to convert complex data into clear management insights and recommendations
