Business Insight & Analysis

• Analyse operational, customer, and business performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and root causes.
• Translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations that support business decisions.
• Proactively investigate issues and provide evidence-based solutions rather than simply reporting outcomes.
• Support operational teams by identifying process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Interpret data within the wider business context and explain the "so what?" behind the numbers.

Reporting & Data Management

• Develop, maintain, and enhance management information reports and dashboards.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used for reporting and analysis.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks.
• Simplify and optimise existing reporting processes where possible.

Automation & Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation.
• Develop and maintain solutions using:

             Advanced Excel
             Power Query
             VBA
             Power Automate
             Microsoft Forms
             SharePoint

• Support the implementation of automated reporting and workflow solutions.
• Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and analytical needs.
• Challenge requests constructively to ensure the right business and operational problem is being solved.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support decision-making through effective data storytelling and communication.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain documentation, process controls, and reporting standards.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and information security requirements.
• Contribute to team best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills

Essential

• Advanced Excel including:

             Pivot Tables
             Power Query
             Data Modelling
             Complex Formula Development

• Experience working with large datasets.
• Power Automate.
• VBA and Excel Automation.
• SharePoint and Microsoft Forms integration.
• Strong understanding of reporting and data validation processes.

Desirable

• Looker, Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools.
• SQL
• Experience with AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Gemini or ChatGPT
• Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies.
