Auxein Medical is looking for a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Design Engineer to join our product development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, improving, and documenting medical devices and surgical/orthopedic instruments, with a strong focus on precision, manufacturability, quality, and innovation.

• Design and develop surgical instruments, orthopedic instruments, and medical devices using 3D CAD software.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
• Develop designs considering DFM/DFA, tolerances, ergonomics, functionality, and manufacturability.
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and R&D teams for product development and improvements.
• Review and optimize existing instrument designs for performance, usability, cost, and manufacturability.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, drawings, and design records.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and design verification activities.
• Understand and apply medical-grade materials, including SS 316L, titanium, and other suitable materials.
• Coordinate with vendors for CNC machining, forging, finishing, and other manufacturing processes.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable medical-device quality requirements and design controls.
• Contribute to innovative product concepts and continuous improvement initiatives.

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of experience in medical device, surgical instrument, orthopedic instrument, or precision engineering design.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Good knowledge of 2D engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and drawing standards.
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA and design for manufacturing.
• Experience with surgical/orthopedic instrument design will be highly preferred.
• Aware about CNC machining, forging, sheet metal, finishing, and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of medical-grade materials such as SS 316L and Titanium.
• Working knowledge of ISO 13485:2016, design controls, and medical-device documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
