Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Teams & IP Telephony Support Engineer to manage and support Microsoft Teams collaboration services and basic IP telephony environments. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting Teams issues, supporting voice and calling functionality, managing users and devices, and resolving day-to-day communication-related incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for Microsoft Teams and collaboration services.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Teams issues related to audio, video, meetings, chat, calls, and connectivity.
• Support Microsoft Teams Calling / Phone System environments.
• Perform basic administration of Teams users, policies, permissions, and configurations.
• Support basic IP Telephony / VoIP functionality, including IP phones and calling issues.
• Troubleshoot call quality, connectivity, headset, microphone, speaker, and device-related issues.
• Assist with configuration and troubleshooting of Teams-certified devices and IP phones.
• Monitor and resolve incidents related to Teams and telephony services.
• Work with network and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, firewall, VPN, and network connectivity issues affecting Teams/VoIP.
• Handle user onboarding/offboarding and Teams-related access requests.
• Maintain documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-base articles.
• Monitor tickets and ensure incidents are resolved within defined SLA timelines.
• Escalate complex issues to Microsoft or relevant infrastructure/voice teams when required.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Teams meetings, chat, calling, and collaboration.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams administration and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of IP Telephony / VoIP.
• Experience troubleshooting IP phones, headsets, microphones, speakers, and calling devices.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking.
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Good to Have

• Microsoft Teams Phone / Phone System experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
• Experience with Teams-certified devices.
• Knowledge of SIP, SBC, PSTN, and VoIP concepts.
• Exposure to Direct Routing / Operator Connect.
• Microsoft Teams Administrator certification such as MS-700 or relevant Microsoft 365 certifications.
• Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID.
• ITIL knowledge.
