Microsoft Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• ThreatLocker
• Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC)
• Microsoft Entra ID Conditional Access
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (MCAS)
• Microsoft Defender security stack
• Windows endpoint security
• Experience delivering enterprise application allowlisting projects.
• Experience creating High-Level Design (HLD) documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience working within enterprise-scale Microsoft environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of cybersecurity, security engineering, or security architecture experience.
• Experience supporting global financial services or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and Azure security technologies.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Microsoft SC-100: Cybersecurity Architect
• Microsoft SC-400: Information Protection Administrator
• Microsoft SC-900: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
• Other relevant Microsoft or industry security certifications.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across security, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
