Job Description

We are looking for experienced Microsoft Fabric professionals across two focus areas: Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering and Microsoft Fabric Platform Administration. Candidates with strong hands-on expertise in either area are encouraged to apply.

Role 1: Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and optimise Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, Notebooks, and Spark workloads.
• Develop data transformation solutions using advanced SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Integrate Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI.
• Implement data modelling, data quality, performance optimisation, and governance.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver analytics-ready datasets in an Agile environment.

Role 2: Senior Microsoft Fabric Administrator / Data Engineer

• Administer Fabric capacities, workspaces, domains, OneLake, and enterprise platform configurations.
• Monitor platform health and utilisation using Fabric Admin APIs, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and activity logs.
• Handle production incidents, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Optimise capacity, compute, storage, concurrency, workload scheduling, and platform costs.
• Implement security and compliance using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, Microsoft Purview, and audit controls.
• Support enterprise data operations and collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, Security, Risk, and Infrastructure teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Microsoft Fabric: Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, OneLake, and Spark.
• Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake / Storage.
• Advanced SQL, Python, PySpark, ETL/ELT, and data modelling.
• Strong understanding of data pipeline development, platform administration, monitoring, and performance optimisation.
• Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and data governance.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms and production workloads.

Good to Have

• Financial Services / Banking experience, particularly Treasury, Risk, Finance, or Compliance data.
• Azure Databricks, Key Vault, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Control-M, ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, or Git.
• Knowledge of GDPR, BCBS 239, ITIL, disaster recovery, and Microsoft Azure / Fabric certifications, including DP-700.
