Microservices & API Developer

• Role focuses on Node.js development, Azure cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes-based deployments, and API lifecycle management using Azure API Management.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build API-first solutions using REST standards and OpenAPI specifications.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Publish, secure, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Integrate backend services with internal and external systems using synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Azure AD.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and CI/CD automation.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
• Experience designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services, especially AKS, API Management, and Key Vault.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes concepts.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of API security best practices and OWASP guideline
• Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–6 years of hands-on backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating microservices and REST APIs in production.
• Practical exposure to Azure, AKS, and Azure API Management.
• Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes basics, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently on features and contribute to design discussions.

Preferred/ Nice To Have

• Experience with Next.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus or Event Hubs.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience with performance tuning and scalability in cloud environments
