Microbiologist

Role & responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, water, products, and environmental samples.
• Conduct environmental monitoring of production and cleanroom areas.
• Perform sterility, microbial limit, and microbial identification tests as applicable.
• Maintain microbiology laboratory equipment, cultures, and records.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, SOPs, and safety requirements.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS), contamination, and microbial excursions.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, logbooks, and laboratory documentation.
• Support validation, media preparation, and microbiological qualification activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Microbiology or related field.
• 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical microbiology preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP, SOPs, and microbiological testing.
• Familiarity with environmental monitoring, sterility and microbial limit testing.
• Good documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and aseptic working practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
