We are seeking an experienced MERN / MEAN Stack Developer / Senior Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications within the Insurance and Banking domain. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in full-stack development, modern JavaScript frameworks, cloud-native technologies, and API integrations.

The candidate is expected to actively leverage Microsoft Copilot and Generative AI (GenAI) tools to accelerate software engineering delivery, improve code quality, enhance productivity, and support innovation throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) or MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) stack.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using React or Angular frameworks.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and optimize MongoDB collections, queries, indexes, and data models.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement secure coding practices aligned with banking and insurance industry standards.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
• Utilize GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and other GenAI tools to accelerate development, automate repetitive tasks, generate code snippets, improve documentation, and optimize testing.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for efficient software delivery.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in:
• JavaScript (ES6+)
• TypeScript
• Node.js
• Express.js
• React.js and/or Angular
• MongoDB
• Experience in developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth 2.0, SSO).
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar source control platforms.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and scalable architectures.

GenAI & Productivity Tools

Hands-on experience using:

• Microsoft Copilot
• GitHub Copilot
• Azure OpenAI Services
• ChatGPT or similar GenAI platforms

Ability to integrate AI-assisted development practices into daily engineering activities.

Domain Experience

• Prior experience in Insurance, Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech projects.
• Understanding of policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, payments, lending, customer onboarding, compliance, or related financial workflows is highly desirable.
