Merchandiser

About the Role
We are a vertically integrated home textile exporter supplying bed linen, flannel and comforters to retailers in Europe and the US. Were looking for a Merchandiser who will take full ownership of orders, from enquiry to shipment, and grow with us long-term.

Key Responsibilities

Buyer handling

• Manage communication with international buyers and agents, replying within 24 hours
• Handle enquiries, costing inputs, PIs and order confirmations
• Handle buyer complaints, shade issues, claims and test failures

Order ownership

• Create and manage the T&A calendar for every order
• Confirm material, capacity and dates with production before committing to the buyer
• Plan fabric, yarn, trims and packaging requirements with purchase and planning

Sampling and quality

• Get lab dips, strike-offs and samples approved on time
• Ensure bulk shade and quality match approved standards before shipment
• Coordinate third-party testing (physical, chemical) and fix failures quickly

Production follow-up

• Track daily progress on the floor across weaving, processing, stitching and packing
• Raise delays early, with a clear recovery plan

Systems and documentation

• Keep every order, approval and buyer update recorded in our internal portal
• Maintain complete order files so any team member can take over without gaps

Shipment

• Coordinate inspections, packing lists and shipment readiness

What Were Looking For

• 5–10 years in export merchandising, preferably in home textiles or made-ups
• Good understanding of fabrics, GSM, thread count, dyeing and printing
• Knowledge of EU/US testing and compliance standards
• Clear written English for buyer emails
• Comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets and learning new systems
• Strong ownership and follow-up
• Someone looking for long-term growth, not a short stint
