Role & Responsibilities: Merchandising
- Plan and manage the merchandise assortment for ethnic wear categories such as sarees, lehengas, salwar suits, kurtis, sherwanis, and accessories.
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to curate relevant and appealing collections.
- Coordinate with designers, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure timely product development and sourcing.
- Manage product lifecycle from selection, pricing, and launch to performance tracking and replenishment.
- Ensure proper categorization, product descriptions, and visual merchandising for online and offline platforms.
- Monitor stock levels, demand forecasting, and inventory turnover to avoid overstocking or stock-outs.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to plan promotions, seasonal collections, and campaigns.
- Maintain quality standards and consistency across all product categories.
- Track product performance and generate reports to identify best-selling and slow-moving items.
- Ensure timely updates of new arrivals, best-sellers, and featured collections on the website.
Category-Specific Responsibilities
- Curate collections based on occasions such as weddings, festivals, and seasonal trends.
- Select and manage a wide range of ethnic accessories including jewelry, dupattas, stoles, footwear, and handbags.
- Ensure color coordination, fabric selection, and style consistency across collections.
- Work on pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness while ensuring profitability.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate photoshoots and ensure high-quality product presentation.
- Assist in planning inventory for peak seasons like weddings and festive periods.
- Stay updated with the latest fashion trends in Indian ethnic wear.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian ethnic wear fabrics, designs, and trends
- Experience in fashion merchandising or retail buying
- Good analytical and forecasting skills
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
- Basic understanding of eCommerce platforms and product listing
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of style
