Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems from architectural, engineering, and shop drawings.
- Utilize Planswift, On screen takeoff, and other estimation tools to generate precise material and labor takeoffs.
- Collaborate with US-based general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to align on project requirements and specifications.
- Perform basic structural takeoffs (concrete, steel, masonry) to support integrated MEP/structural estimates.
- Verify measurements against project specifications, RFIs, and addendums to ensure accuracy.
- Generate formatted takeoff reports, and cost summaries in Excel or estimation software.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and potential scope changes.
- Maintain organized digital takeoff files and project documentation for easy acces.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience as an MEP Takeoff Quantity Surveyor, preferably with US general contractors.
- Proficiency in Planswift and familiarity with other estimation tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Stack, On-Screen Takeoff).
- Basic knowledge of structural estimation.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with US construction standards and practices is a plus.
