Mep Store Assitant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Store Assistant with 10+ years of experience in handling electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting materials at construction project sites. The candidate should have strong knowledge of material receiving, inspection, storage, inventory control, material issuance, documentation, and coordination with procurement and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive MEP materials from suppliers and verify quantities against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Check materials for specifications, sizes, quality, and physical damage before acceptance.
• Maintain proper storage and identification of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical materials.
• Issue materials to site engineers, supervisors, and technicians against approved material requisitions.
• Maintain accurate stock registers, bin cards, material receipt notes (MRN/GRN), and material issue notes.
• Monitor minimum stock levels and inform the Store In-Charge about shortages and replenishment requirements.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
• Maintain records of cable drums, cable trays, conduits, pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, motors, ducting accessories, and other MEP materials.
• Ensure proper handling, preservation, and safe storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams regarding material deliveries and pending requirements.
• Track material returns, surplus materials, damaged items, and warranty-related materials.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits, material reconciliation, and project handover.
• Follow company procedures, housekeeping standards, and site safety requirements.
• Support the Store In-Charge in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in storekeeping or material handling, preferably in MEP construction projects.
• Good knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical materials.
• Experience in material receiving, issuing, inventory control, and stock reconciliation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory software, and MS Excel , SAP is an advantage.
• Ability to maintain accurate material records and coordinate with multiple project teams.
• Good communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
