Mep Site Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• coordinate on-site execution of all MEP services, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, ELV, BMS and other related services.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural and interior teams to ensure proper integration of MEP services with approved drawings and site requirements.
• Review MEP shop drawings, coordinated drawings and builders’ work drawings before execution to identify clashes and resolve site-level discrepancies.
• Monitor installation of HVAC ducting, chilled-water/refrigerant piping, ventilation systems, electrical conduits, cable trays, wiring, panels and lighting systems.
• Supervise plumbing, water supply, hot water, soil and waste piping, stormwater drainage, pumps and related sanitary installations.
• Coordinate the installation of firefighting and fire alarm systems, including piping, sprinklers, hydrants, detectors and associated equipment.
• Ensure proper coordination of MEP services in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens, back-of-house areas, plant rooms and service shafts.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality, approved specifications, equipment locations, levels, clearances and routing.
• Coordinate with MEP contractors, subcontractors, consultants, PMC and other agencies to resolve technical issues and maintain work progress.
• Monitor daily progress, manpower deployment, material availability and work schedules to achieve project milestones.
• Verify material specifications, approved makes, material inspection requests and installation methods before execution.
• Ensure that sleeves, openings, inserts, supports and other builders’ work requirements are completed before concrete casting, masonry closure and ceiling closure.
• Identify and resolve service clashes and access/maintenance clearance issues in coordination with the design and execution teams.
• Maintain inspection requests, site observation reports, snag lists, checklists and daily progress records for MEP works.
• Coordinate testing, flushing, pressure testing, insulation checks, electrical testing, equipment commissioning and system handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, safety procedures and hotel project quality standards.
• Coordinate with interior teams for concealed services, ceiling coordination, lighting layouts, bathroom fixtures, access panels and final equipment positioning.
• Follow up on rectification of site observations and ensure completion of MEP works before finishing activities and final handover.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3-6 years of experience in MEP Coordination or Site Coordination role.
• Diploma/B.Tech degree in relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering).
• Strong understanding of HVAC engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
