MEP Engineer High Rise Building Construction

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) works at the construction site.
• Monitor installation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting and other MEP systems.
• Coordinate with civil, structural and other project teams.
• Check drawings, layouts and specifications before execution.
• Ensure MEP works are completed as per approved drawings and project schedule.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors and ensure proper workmanship.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors and project management team.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain site records.
• Handle testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3-8 years of relevant experience in High-Rise Building Construction MEP works.
• Hands-on experience in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting and ELV systems.
• Experience in high-rise residential/commercial building projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of MEP drawings, BOQ, specifications and site execution.
• Experience in coordinating with civil, structural, consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Ability to supervise MEP installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Good knowledge of quality and safety requirements at construction sites.
• Strong site coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Candidates with experience in high-rise building projects will be given preference.
