MEP Engineer Construction

1. System Design & Engineering

• Mechanical (HVAC): Design heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including ductwork layouts, thermal load calculations, and exhaust ventilation systems.
• Electrical: Plan power distribution systems, interior/exterior lighting, emergency backup generators, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage networks (telecom, security).
• Plumbing: Design water supply distribution, drainage networks, stormwater management, and fire suppression (sprinkler) systems.

2. Project Management & Supervision

• Supervise onsite MEP installations to ensure they match approved engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, civil contractors, and project managers to prevent spatial conflicts (clashes) between systems.
• Review, evaluate, and approve MEP shop drawings, technical submittals, and material samples.

3. Testing, Commissioning & Compliance

• Oversee the testing and commissioning of all MEP equipment before building handover.
• Ensure full compliance with local building codes, NFPA standards, energy codes (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED), and health and safety regulations.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve engineering issues or defects discovered during the construction phase
