Mep Draughtsman

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman to prepare accurate engineering drawings and layouts for building services projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience in HVAC, Plumbing/PHE and Electrical drafting, preferably within an MEP design consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP drawings, layouts and design documentation based on engineering requirements.
• Develop HVAC, Plumbing/PHE and Electrical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural drawings.
• Incorporate design changes and maintain drawing revisions.
• Prepare shop drawings, GFC drawings, schematic layouts and detailed plans as required.
• Identify and resolve basic drafting and coordination issues.
• Coordinate with Design Engineers, BIM Engineers and Project Coordinators.
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, drafting standards and client requirements.
• Maintain drawing quality, accuracy and timely submission.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit MEP knowledge is an advantage.
• Good understanding of MEP systems and building services.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering, architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of HVAC / PHE / Electrical drafting.
• Good understanding of MEP coordination and drawing standards.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification

Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or a related discipline.
