MEP - Design

Roles and responsibilities

• Manage MEP consultants and review their designs from concept to good-for-construction (GFC) stage.
• Check design calculations for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire-fighting systems.
• Coordinate MEP with architecture, structure and faade, and resolve clashes through BIM.
• Ensure compliance with NBC 2016, DCPR 2034, and fire and electrical safety norms.
• Prepare MEP inputs for fire NOC, electricity load sanction, and municipal water and drainage approvals.
• Drive value engineering, and review MEP BOQs, specifications and vendor bids.
• Resolve site queries, approve shop drawings, and support testing, commissioning and handover.
• Lead and mentor the in-house MEP design team.

Desired candidate profile

• MEP design experience with a developer or MEP consultant, including 4+ years on high-rise residential or commercial towers.
• Working knowledge of all MEP services, with deep expertise in at least one.
• Hands-on with AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Navisworks.
• Experience with Mumbai fire and utility approvals.
• Redevelopment, SRA or green building experience is a plus.
