MEP Budgeting NZ2 - Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Budget Preparation & Cost Estimation. Prepare detailed MEP budgets during project planning stages. Develop cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Evaluate vendor quotations and validate cost assumptions.
• Cost Planning & Control. Monitor MEP costs against approved budgets and highlight variances. Implement cost control measures to optimize project expenditure. Support value engineering initiatives for cost efficiency.
• BOQ & Tendering Support. Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for MEP works. Assist in tendering process including bid analysis and vendor comparison. Coordinate with procurement for finalization of contracts.
• Coordination & Stakeholder Management. Work closely with design, project, and procurement teams. Provide cost inputs during design development and revisions. Support project teams with budgeting insights and financial tracking.
• Reporting & Documentation. Prepare periodic budget vs actual reports. Maintain cost databases and historical cost records. Ensure proper documentation for audits and internal reviews.
