MEP Billing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and submit accurate Running Account (RA) bills, interim bills, and final client invoices. [1, 2, 3]
• Quantity Take-offs: Accurately measure MEP quantities from structural drawings, layouts, and site inspections.
• Verification: Review, certify, and process invoices submitted by MEP vendors and subcontractors. [
• Variation & Change Management: Track any alterations to the original project scope, calculate price adjustments, and secure necessary approvals.
• Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations between budgeted costs, actual expenses, and billed amounts
• Budgeting & Reporting: Monitor project expenses to prevent cost overruns and prepare routine financial MIS reports for project managers.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a Quantity Surveying certification.
• Experience: Typically 3 to 10+ years of relevant MEP construction or interior fit-out experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools like SAP.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
