Mental Health Counselling Internship

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct live chat-based counselling sessions with users.
• Respond with empathy, discretion, and professional conduct at all times.
• Follow established counselling protocols and escalation procedures.

Support senior team members with content creation and blog writing

Training & Supervision

The internship includes structured, supervised training across the following areas:

• Ethical guidelines and foundational counselling skills
• Core process skills -questioning, reflection of feelings, paraphrasing, emotional presence, and session summarizing/wrap-up
• Suicide risk and Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) -risk assessment, safety planning, and the limitations of chat-based support
• Supporting survivors of abuse and navigating abusive relationships
• Working with LGBTQ+ and minority populations
• Trauma-informed approaches

A Certificate of Completion from the Dainik Bhaskar Group

• Potential opportunity for future association or employment, based on performance and organizational requirements
• Case conceptualization
• Mock sessions and supervised practice

Preferred candidate profile

Perusing / Completed master in psychology.
