We are seeking an experienced Packet Core Support Engineer with 6-12 years of telecom experience to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize packet core network elements. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence of 4G/5G core networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for Packet Core nodes such as SGW, PGW, MME, PCRF, PCF, AMF, SMF, UPF
- Monitor network performance and handle incidents, outages, and escalations
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and issue resolution
- Manage software upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
- Ensure SLA compliance and service availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RAN, OCS, IMS, Platform, ST/RD)
- Maintain documentation and prepare operational reports
- Support network optimization and capacity planning activities
Job Requirements
- 6-12 years of experience in telecom, with strong exposure to 4G/5G Packet Core
- Strong knowledge of LTE/5G architecture, protocols (GTP, S1AP, Diameter, PFCP, NGAP, HTTP/2)
- Experience in troubleshooting and incident management in live networks
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems and basic scripting
- Understanding of virtualization/cloud (NFV, Kubernetes) is a plus
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
