Job Summary

Ujala Cygnus Amritdhara My Hospital is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Transcriptionist to prepare accurate and timely patient discharge summaries, medical reports, and clinical documentation. The candidate will work closely with consultants, doctors, and nursing staff to ensure complete and error-free patient records.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and transcribe patient discharge summaries accurately and promptly.
• Convert dictated medical notes, reports, and treatment records into written documents.
• Review and edit medical documents for grammar, completeness, and accuracy.
• Coordinate with consultants and clinical departments for clarification of medical information.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Update and manage electronic medical records (EMR/HIS).
• Ensure discharge summaries are completed within prescribed turnaround times.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of patient records.

Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline; certification in Medical Transcription preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setup.
• Good knowledge of medical terminology, diagnoses, procedures, and medications.
• Excellent English typing and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under strict timelines and maintain high accuracy levels.
• Experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) will be an added advantage.
