Medical Superintendent (MS)

Sparsh Hospitals, Kantabada

The Medical Superintendent will be responsible for providing effective clinical leadership and medical administration to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the overall clinical functioning and day-to-day medical operations of the hospital.
• Ensure quality, safe, ethical, and patient-centric healthcare delivery.
• Coordinate and supervise doctors, consultants, nursing, paramedical, and other clinical teams.
• Monitor the functioning of OPD, IPD, ICU, Emergency, OT, Diagnostics, and other clinical services.
• Ensure adequate medical manpower, duty rosters, attendance, leave management, and professional discipline.
• Establish and monitor compliance with clinical protocols, hospital policies, SOPs, and patient-safety standards.
• Drive NABH/quality standards, clinical audits, infection control, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, adverse events, mortality and morbidity, patient complaints, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory, medico-legal, and healthcare requirements.
• Lead and coordinate medical/clinical committees and ensure timely documentation and follow-up of decisions.
• Handle and resolve clinical escalations and support effective grievance management.
• Ensure preparedness for medical emergencies, disasters, and other critical situations.
• Work closely with Hospital Management and other departments on operational, clinical, and strategic matters.
• Review clinical performance indicators and prepare periodic reports for management.
• Promote professional ethics, teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Overall Objective:
To ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, compliant, and high-quality healthcare services while strengthening clinical governance and the overall patient experience at Sparsh Hospitals, Kantabada.
