Role & responsibilities

1. To motivate the individuals for volunteer blood donation.
2. To conduct pre-donation counselling of volunteer donors.
3. To conduct post-donation counselling of blood donors.
4. Counselling of TTI reactive donors, especially in case of HIV positive cases.
5. Liaison with various units and organisations for conducting volunteer blood donation camps.
6. To conduct outdoor lectures on importance of volunteer blood donations, and alleviate the myths regarding blood donations.
7. Maintain the data of voluntary blood donors and helping organisations in need of blood.
8. Maintain of blood donation related data in digital format.
9. Data entry of various processes and procedures performed in Blood Centre.
10. Maintaining volunteer blood donor panel including rare blood groups.
11. Any other job as instructed by MoI/C Blood Centre and HOD Pathology.
