Medical Coding Trainer

Role & responsibilities

• Deliver Medical Coding training sessions (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) as per curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, coding exercises, case studies, and assessments.
• Train students on coding guidelines, compliance, and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular tests, mock exams, and track student progress.
• Prepare students for AAPC certification (CPC or equivalent).
• Maintain attendance, academic records, and update MIS regularly.
• Support students in practical coding and doubt clarification.
• Ensure a disciplined, engaging, and learner-friendly classroom.
• Coordinate with Centre team for batch planning and scheduling.
• Maintain training quality and follow project and industry standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Practical experience in medical coding industry.
• Basic IT and computer skills (MS Office, MIS entry, presentation tools).
• Internet and research skills for academic content preparation.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Good teaching, presentation, and classroom management skills.
