Medical Coding-Trainer (ED)

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Medical Coding Trainer to join our team!

Role Overview

Seeking a Certified Trainer with strong expertise in Medical Coding and a proven track record in delivering high-quality training programs across specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end training programs including:
• Client-specific training
• Industry updates
• General medical coding sessions
• Train coders on ICD & CPT coding, including the latest updates and guidelines
• Specialize in ED
• Develop and update training content/materials aligned with current standards
• Coordinate with Supervisors and Training Managers to plan and execute training initiatives
• Conduct regular audits:
• New hire charts
• New specialty cases
• Ongoing quality audits
• Track performance and continuously improve training effectiveness

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7 to 8 years of experience in Medical Coding
• 2 to 4 years of experience in training/mentoring
• CPC Certification (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of ICD & CPT coding updates
• Excellent English communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint
• Ability to adapt and learn new specialties quickly

Good to Have

• Experience in evaluating employee performance and identifying skill gaps
• Ability to design and implement onboarding programs
• Awareness of modern training methodologies
• Experience in creating structured training plans to bridge skill gaps
