1) Review patient records, clinical notes, and discharge summaries.
2) Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and other coding systems.
3) Follow coding guidelines, healthcare regulations, and organisational policies.
4) Help ensure accurate insurance claims and reduce claim denials.
5) Protect patient information and maintain coding accuracy and quality standards.
