Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and validation of complex imaging systems and subsystems, ensuring performance, reliability, quality, and patient safety across IB, NPI, ATD and VCP
• Lead innovation in mechanical architecture, thermal management, structural design, mechatronics, and advanced materials to enhance product competitiveness.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Systems, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to deliver imaging products on time and within cost targets.
• Maintain design documentation in accordance with quality management systems and design control processes.
• Resolve critical technical challenges, conduct design reviews, product safety analysis, risk assessments, and root-cause investigations for product and field issues.
• Champion engineering excellence through simulation-driven design, DFM/DFA principles, cost optimization, and continuous product improvement.
• Mentor engineers, influence technology roadmaps, and contribute to intellectual property, platform strategies, and next-generation imaging technologies.
• Develop breakthrough technologies including additive design/manufacturing and AI-powered engineering solutions that create sustainable competitive advantage and improve patient outcomes & cost-effective solutions
  
  

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors /Masters/Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 15 years of relevant work experience & minimum 5 years in Health care product development.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in multiple areas including but not restricted to structural analysis, CAD/CAM, thermal flow, acoustics, injection molding, Bolted Joints, Suspended Mass, tool development etc.
• Strong expertise in supply chain, manufacturing and assembly processes
• Demonstrated experience on global product releases through multiple NPI cycles & resolving installed base issues
• Strong analytical skills and expertise in mechanical calculations & motion control drive
• Excellent communication, collaboration, judgment, organizational and problem-solving skills and mentoring skills

• End to end experience of delivering the 2 or3 healthcare products from concept to production.
• Strategic planner and clear thinker with ability to drive change across the product lines of the segment.
