Maintenance Engineer is someone who is responsible for performing daily maintenance and repair of industrial equipment to maximize on the Equipment uptime.Maintenance Engineer job descriptionWe are looking for motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team on permanent position. Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring our machines and equipments are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.Maintenance Engineer duties and responsibilities

• Supervise & attend to the timely maintenance of production equipment and utilities.Guide Maintenance team to attend breakdown of CNC & Conventional machines, EOT cranes, welding Equipments like rotators, welding booms, SAW trolleys, D.G. Set & Air Compressor breakdowns.
• Perform and supervise mechanical maintenance related repairs. Decide  Priority on attending breakdown with consultation with Shift In charge /Shop Supervisors & then guide maintenance team accordingly.
• Guiding maintenance team for  Responding to emergences on shop floor. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment, maintain equipment and supplies to ensure safe operation of the facility
• Review daily work orders and provide reports
• Review all documentation to ensure proper data collection
• Lead, train and supervise maintenance workers
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of production equipment, utilities
• Working in shifts to attend to the breakdown
• Diagnosing faults on CNC machines i.e HMC,VMC, Horizontal Boring machines, CNC & Conventional lathes, gas cutting & plasma  cutting machines, Shot blasting booth, MHE like forklifts & mobile cranes, welding rotators & welding booms etc. Trouble shooting on Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems.
• Planning & carrying out schedule maintenance of all the machines & Equipments used in Heavy engineering machine & fabrication shops.
• Shifting  &  Erection of  machines within shop from one location to another. Knowledge of lifting & shifting  of machines/Equipments with help of  EOT cranes is required.
• Preparation of manufacturing  drawings  of various components/spare parts in Auto cad. Knowledge of Fits & tolerances required. Preparation of layout drawings/line diagrams  in Autocad.
• Knowledge of Safety procedures, use of PPEs during machine tool maintenance, working at height   Identifying risks in various maintenance activities  &  Preparation of HIRA documents. Guiding maintenance team for filling of LMRA.
• Softs skills like communication through email, communication with vendors & floating enquires in coordination with PSM, generation of reports in Excel/word documents. Knowledge of viewing Maintenance notification in SAP & closing of reports in SAP. Generation of Purchase Requisition  in SAP & viewing Procurement action in SAP & following up for getting required spares. Ensure necessary spares are planned for procurement and maintained
• Co-ordination of measuring instruments calibration activity

Maintenance Engineer requirements and qualifications

• Minimum of a BE / B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer in reputed Organisation.
• Ability to follow directions and procedures laid by superiors/facilitators, team members from shop
• Conversant with basic Computer knowledge working in – Word, Excel, Acad etc.
• Ability to work independently in shifts
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Adherence to the safety compliance laid by organisation to ensure safety of employee.
