About this role
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
- Provide Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of pre-treatment equipment such as: Intake screens (coarse & fine)/ Trash racks, bar screens/ traveling screens/ Grit chambers, grit classifiers, Clarifiers, flash mixers, flocculators, Chemical dosing systems (lime, alum, polymer, chlorine, etc.), Pumps (raw water, backwash, sludge, chemical dosing),Gearboxes, blowers, agitators, conveyors.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, vibration control, and condition monitoring of rotating equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring failures.
- Recommend improvements for equipment reliability and life extension.
- Ensure availability of critical spares and consumables.
- Coordinate shutdowns and maintenance planning with operations.
- Supervise installation of mechanical equipment as per drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE requirements and site safety rules.
- Participate in inspection, testing, and commissioning of pre-treatment systems.
- Follow lock-out / tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and logs.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards
- Verify vendor documentation, O&M manuals, and spare parts lists.
- Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams.
- Liaise with vendors and OEMs for troubleshooting and service support.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Support audits, inspections, and management reviews.

QUALIFICATION
- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
EXPERIENCE
- 12-15 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and Prior experience in Water Treatment Plant, STP, ETP, DM Plant, or PTP preferred.
