Mechanical Electrical Engineer

Responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of CNC, VMC and other machine-shop equipment, ensuring maximum machine availability, minimum breakdowns and smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC and related machine-shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
• Diagnose CNC/VMC machine alarms, electrical panel faults, sensor issues, motor, drive and PLC-related problems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot spindles, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, lubrication and cooling systems.
• Prepare and follow the Preventive Maintenance schedule and ensure timely completion.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and improve MTBF, MTTR, machine availability and breakdown performance.
• Coordinate with machine OEMs and external service engineers for major breakdowns and technical support.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, PM checklists and machine history cards.
• Ensure availability and proper control of critical spare parts and maintenance consumables.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, modification and improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and Tool Room teams to minimize machine downtime.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, safety procedures, LOTO and company maintenance standards.
• Identify opportunities for machine reliability improvement, energy saving and maintenance cost reduction.Qualification
  

Qualification

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, EEE, ECE or related discipline.
  

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in CNC/VMC machine maintenance in a manufacturing or machine-shop
