Mechanical Draughtsman

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks.
• Create drawings for conveyor components, assemblies, sheet metal parts, and fabrication drawings.
• Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, manufacturing drawings, and detailed part drawings.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for design projects.
• Coordinate with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings are accurate, practical, and production-friendly.
• Modify and update drawings based on engineering changes and project requirements.
• Follow company design standards, quality procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Possess basic knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication processes, and engineering drawing standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all design files.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team and communicate effectively.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ITI Draughtsman
• Proficiency in solidworks.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings and drafting standards.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal,fabrication,and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with MS office (Excel,Word).
• Good Communication skills and willingness to learn.
